First Anniversary Zazenkai

Save the Date!

First Anniversary Zazenkai Saturday, November 22, 2025

Zazenkai literally means “coming together for zazen.” Zazenkai is a day of rich, intensive practice including multiple sitting periods, kinhin (walking meditation), service, Dharma talk & discussion, Dokusan, (private practice interview with a teacher) upon request, and fellowship. Zazenkai is an opportunity to deepen our practice in the shared silent energy of group participation. It can also be an introduction to longer and deeper practice, and is good preparation for sesshin (multiple day retreat).

All are welcome. If you have not practiced with the Barre Zen Meditation Center, please arrange an orientation before attending a zazenkai.
