Kagayaki Karen Morris, Sensei is a lay-ordained, transmitted teacher in the Soto Zen Buddhist lineage of Dainin Katagiri, Roshi; on the faculty of the Buddhist Education Institute, Indian Creek Zen Hermitage, Ottawa, IL.; a psychoanalyst in private practice in Montpelier, VT. She is a volunteer public educator on the subject of the commercial sex industry and its impact on domestic minor sex trafficking and sex tourism with children. She is a facilitator of social dreaming matrixes in retreats, workshops, and conference spaces. She is a Gradiva Award-winning writer and poet (2010, 2015). Her new volume of poetry, Nothing Happened Last Night, is from Finishing Line Press (2024).
